Nairobi Hash Easter Program
2 April to 6 April 2021
On On and welcome to the “Warm Heart of Africa”.
The Nairobi Hash Easter program has been designed and will be hosted by Barefoot Lodge and Safaris.
Day 1 – Friday 2nd April
Today, you will be met at the airport by a Barefoot Lodge and Safaris representative. After a warm Malawi welcome you will be transported to Barefoot Lodge via the outskirts of Lilongwe, the Capital City of Malawi. After a 40 minute drive you will reach the lodge where you can enjoy a cold beer while checking in.
Lunch and dinner will be available from our a la carte restaurant, situated on the premises.
Afternoon at leisure.

Day 2 – Saturday 3rd April
This morning we have nothing scheduled. However, there is an optional City Tour available at US$20pp minimum 4 people. This can be arranged on arrival.
Lunchtime we will be back at Barefoot Lodge and at 15h00 people will start arriving for the 16h00 hash run.

- 15h00 – Hash Run, starting at 16h00 from Barefoot Lodge

Lake Malawi
Day 3 – Sunday 4th April
After breakfast we head East from Lilongwe towards the well known Lake Malawi, the third largest and second deepest lake in Africa.
Passing trough picturesque landscapes, our first stop will be at Kuti Wildlife Reserve. Kuti is known for their assistance they give to various research and rehabilitation projects of wildlife within Malawi.
Here we will spend some time for lunch and hopefully spot a zebra or two.
After lunch, we leave for a short drive to Senga bay, where we will meet up with some of the locals to participate in a scenic boat ride on the lake. Keep your eyes peeled for the majestic African Fish eagle.
Before sunset, we can participate in a 4 to 5km walk / run back to our accommodation.

- 11h30 – Lunch at Kuti Wildlife Sanctuary
- 15h00 – Boat ride on Lake Malawi
- 17h00 – Optional run/walk from Livingstonia to Cool Runnings
- 19h00 – Dinner at Cool Runnings

Day 4 – Monday 5th April
Heading back to Lilongwe after breakfast we arrive back before lunch at Barefoot Lodge. The afternoon we can spend at leisure before joining the Lilongwe Hash for an afternoon run/walk, starting from Barefoot Lodge at 5 pm.

Day 5 – Tuesday 6 April
All good things come to an end!
Today is an early morning and departing early gives us time to be at the airport in good time.

- 07h30 – Depart Barefoot Lodge to be in time for the 9:50 flight to Nairobi (KQ731)
